I am a person who favors home. There is no better feeling than unlocking my front door at the end of the day and unwinding in my little oasis. I light candles, put on pajamas, and make popcorn — this is my routine.
Real estate, I’ve learned, is all about home. When I launched Melanie Stone Chicago at Coldwell Banker, I wanted to celebrate this concept: Home is where you wake up in the morning, hazy sunlight pouring in through your bedroom window. It’s where you recharge your batteries after a long day and an even longer commute. It’s where you spend time with the people you love, sharing stories and a bottle of wine.
Whether you’re buying your first place or selling one in order to purchase another, I promise to partner with you, providing the very best resources and support.

In 2017, I was named to Realtor Magazine’s national “30 Under 30” list. I became a member of Coldwell Banker’s President’s Club in 2018, International Diamond Society in 2016, and in 2015, I received my company’s “Rookie of the Year” award for the city region. Along the way, I served on the board of directors for the Women’s Council of Realtors, as well as several committees for the Chicago Association of Realtors. I currently rank in the top 1% of agents in the city.
I created So You Want to Buy a Condo, a seminar for first-time buyers, in late 2015. Since then, I’ve taught this class to thousands of young professionals at places like WeWork, Uber, Deloitte, Grubhub and Morningstar.
As for my own home, I live in a vintage walk-up in Lincoln Park. When I need a break from the city, I drive home to Hinsdale to be with my family. It is the sweetest escape.

If I’m not working, I’m probably writing. To get a glimpse into my life and career, visit my blog. That is the very best way to learn more about me.
