On the night of Super Bowl 50, I was driving from the South Loop to the Cathedral District, crunching numbers in my head and strategizing with my buyers. As soon as our showings ended, I hurried home — not to watch the game (wait, who won?) but to write offers.
Historically, the spring market kicks off after the Super Bowl. That’s when buyers come out of hibernation, eager find a condo with outdoor space in time for warmer weather. The holidays are over, the days are longer and the real estate industry is ready to rumble.
In the past 7 days, I’ve put a total of $1,000,000 under contract. I spent most of January hustling — networking every weeknight and showing condos every weekend — so I’m thrilled to put new closings on my calendar. What’s more, I have plenty of client consultations scheduled, as well as two upcoming seminars for first-time homebuyers. Spring market is here, and I’m hitting the ground running.
