The Spring Market

Those who know me understand that I’m not a fan of warmer weather. I much prefer snow, boots, sweaters and hot tea. As soon as April arrives, I’m fighting allergies and the urge to continue wearing all black.

The real estate market, however, comes alive in the spring. There’s something about rising temperatures and longer days that gets people in the mood to buy, sell and rent. I’ve been busy, and I’m certainly not complaining.

I’m beginning to appreciate the change in season. Now, I can negotiate a deal on my front steps, watching the sun set on Lakeview. I can drive around to appointments with the windows down and music up. Most notably, I can pass out more door hangers — an activity that is much less fun when the sidewalks are covered in ice.

When summer comes, I’ll probably be whining. But let’s just wait and see how business is going.
